We ran our first political leadership training through The People’s House LLC in partnership with Colorado Black Women for Political Action called Political Leadership for our Times. The cohort has 22 women of color graduating after 10 weeks of 8 sessions that included training on campaign messaging, VAN, field work, public speaking, policy and advocacy and other soft and hard skills needed to run for office and be office adjacent. Participants came from Denver, Aurora, Milliken, Firestone, Colorado Springs, and other counties outside of Denver metro. We are thrilled to collaborate with CPWPA and combined 30 years experience in politics and policy in Denver Colorado to mentor and train.
